On 14. April 2023, students of the Doctoral School of Chemistry from the university of Vienna were hosted by Boehringer Ingelheim in Vienna to get an impression of the versatile work environment and future perspectives. They were able to learn first-hand about Boehringer Ingelheim's research work, get to know the company and tour the production facilities. The students gained an insight into the production of biopharmaceuticals and learned new things about how the corresponding processes take place on a large scale.

Afterwards, employees from the company presented how Boehringer Ingelheim is structured and how one can imagine working there. The PhD students learned even more in personal conversations with employees with whom they exchanged ideas.

It was a great opportunity to gain insight into Boehringer Ingelheim and the participants were very pleased with the friendly hospitality of the employees there.
