  • Onboarding Event for New Students
    Target group: PhD year 1 (new students)
    Duration: 3 hours
    Format: face-to-face and on-demand in smaller groups

November / December (offered depending on demand)

  • Presentation Skills / Improved Communication
    Target group: PhD students of all years
    Duration: 20–25 hours
    Format: 1 half-day webinar and 1 half-day face-to-face

January

  • Grant Proposal Writing for Advanced PhDs and Early Postdocs
    Target group: PhD year 3 (advanced)
    Duration: 4 half days, total 20 hours
    Format: online
  • Intercultural Communication and Negotiation Workshop
    Target group: PhD year 1
    Duration: 1 full day
    Format: face-to-face workshop

  • Effective Visual Communication of Science
    Target group: PhD students of all years
    Duration: 20–25 hours
    Format: live half-day Zoom webinar combined with online courses

  • Job Application Training
    Target group: PhD year 3
    Duration: 1.5 days
    Format: face-to-face

  • Effective Scientific Writing: Process and Product
    Target group: PhD years 2 and 3
    Duration: 4 half days, total 20 hours
    Format: online

  • Tech Transfer Soft Skill Workshop / Entrepreneurship and Innovation
    Target group: PhD students of all years
    Duration: 1–2 full days, total 20 hours

Workshop Registration & Attendance Policy

If you experience any issues during registration or while navigating the u:rise platform for DoSChem workshops, please contact us at dos.chem@univie.ac.at.
Please note that participants are responsible for informing their Principal Investigator (PI) about their planned workshop attendance and any resulting absence from regular duties.

Attendance Policy

To ensure fair access and effective participation, registered participants are expected to attend the workshops they sign up for. If you cannot attend, please notify us as soon as possible so that your spot can be offered to someone on the waiting list.

No-Show Policy

An unexcused absence without prior notification will result in a one-year ban from all DoSChem-organized workshops.
