We are happy to announce that DoSChem will support within the "International Exchange” program the proposal of Hélène-Christine Prause (Institute of Food Chemistry and Toxicology, Doris Marko group) “Interaction of membrane sterol and lipid structures with prymnesins, ichthyotoxins produced by Prymnesium parvum” carried out at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, Baltimore, USA. With her project Hélène-Christine aims to elucidate the mode of action of the microalgal toxins on the cell membrane integrity along with their impact on the cell viability.
DoSChem awards for the first time the joint expertise of Mira Flasch (Institute of Food Chemistry and Toxicology, Benedikt Warth group) and Martin Schaier (Institute of Analytical Chemistry, Gunda Köllensperger group) who applied together to our program “New Ideas” with the proposal: “Investigating environmental exposures to infants using a multi-omics approach” aiming to establish a high throughput method for the multielement assessment of breast milk samples and its validation.
Good luck and success to Hélène-Christine, Mira and Martin with their projects!!
Next application deadline for “International Exchange” & “New Ideas” is January 1st 2022. We are happy to assist you with your application!
