Dr. Katherine Tiede has spent more than three decades working with scientists on how to communicate their research. She draws on her background in linguistics to provide scientists with tools to be able to see their writing as a reader does as well as tools to draft, write, and revise more effectively. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Toronto and after a decade as faculty, began in 2008 to give annual seminars at various Austrian universities. 

Goals and course of the workshop

When: November, 17-18 and 24-25 1-5pm CEST – 4 afternoon sessions (plus some homework prior and inbetween the sessions)

Where: online

Capacity/Admission: 12 participants

Target Audience: advanced DoSChem PhD students who already have some data and currently writing an article and have previously not participated in similar scientific writing courses. 1 ECTS will be given for participation.

All submitted abstracts will be evaluated by our management team and the priority will be given to 12 eligible students. The waiting list candidates will also be notified.
