"Award of Excellence" goes to DoSChem alumna Deborah Romito

This year the "Award of Excellence - Staatspreis für die besten Dissertationen" of the Ministry of Science was awarded to Deborah Romito, DoSChem alumna and former doctoral student of Davide Bonifazi from the Institute of Organic Chemistry.

Deborah Romito was honored for her outstanding dissertation based on the proposal of the University of Vienna. The prize is endowed with EUR 3,000. The 40 best dissertations of the academic year 2021/22 were awarded. The award ceremony took place on December 14.


Deborah Romito is currently a postdoctoral researcher in supramolecular organic chemistry at the University of Nantes, France. She defended her dissertation on Exploiting Chalcogen Bonding as supramolecular tool for versatile applications at the solid and liquid phase in March 2022.
